Editorial Reviews

The clearest path from finance theory to boardroom decision-making I've encountered in a single volume.
-- David Headley, FP&A, VP

A thoughtfully crafted introduction to the fundamentals of corporate finance and a great read for both first-time learners and seasoned professionals seeking a refresher.
The book's logical structure, relevant examples, and accessible explanations make it particularly suitable for beginners. The book also excels in connecting theory to real-world applications. The use of company disclosures and management discussion excerpts throughout the chapters strengthens practical understanding.
-- James Chan, CFA, Senior Finance Manager, Ocean Spray International

The book reflects a well-structured and thoughtfully sequenced flow of topics, enabling readers to progress seamlessly from foundational concepts to more advanced applications in corporate finance. The lucidity of the content is particularly commendable—complex ideas are explained with clarity and supported by a judicious mix of theoretical concepts, real-life corporate finance examples, and carefully designed numerical illustrations. Segments such as “How can the cash conversion cycle be shortened” effectively bridge theory with managerial relevance, enhancing conceptual understanding.
From a student’s perspective, the book is highly accessible and learner-friendly. The inclusion of primers for number-intensive topics is especially useful in building confidence among those new to finance, while the tabular presentation of numerical examples and integration of Excel functions add practical value. Further, the end-of-chapter research activities and quizzes serve as effective tools for self-assessment and reinforce learning. Overall, the book succeeds in combining academic rigor with ease of study, making it a valuable resource for students and instructors alike.
-- Prof Dr Davinder Suri, Dean (Academics) and Dy. ACO, IBS, Mumbai

The book Financial Management Essentials You Always Wanted to Know guides us through the study of important financial concepts covered in management courses at numerous top universities and learning institutions around the world, making a significant contribution to the improvement of systematic financial numeracy and literacy.

The author explains various technical concepts and financial jargon, integrating theory with real-world finance in steady, progressive phases that the general reader will find relatively simple to follow. It is pleasing that the material is unquestionably instructive, learner-friendly, and professionally organized.
-- Dr. Parth M. Modi, Asst. Professor, S. K. School of Business Management

It is a well-structured book that covers the fundamental financial concepts that all business students should be familiar with. In the end-of-chapter practice problems, examples and content are well translated into an easily understandable manner. A lot of care has been taken to illustrate and chart the information. It would be my pleasure to recommend this book to you.
-- Dr. Vidhya K. Lead Counsel at LEAD College of Management

It is really helpful to the student community. Most of the content and concepts are explained in detail and are easy to understand for students. And the kind of examples given are more recent, real-time, and relevant to the topic. The units, like Capital Budgeting and Cost of Capital, carry detailed explanations.
-- Dr. Siva Reddy Podapala
Associate Professor of Finance

I just had a small comment on "Financial Accounting Essentials" Chapter 1, page 6, you wrote "Each cash transaction is divided into three types of activities - operating, investing, and financing." I would change it to "Each cash transaction can be categorized as one of the three types of activities - operating, investing, and financing." This will make it clear that we are not dividing each transaction into three types but rather categorizing them. I hope this helps. Have a great weekend.
