The visual formatting of the book is fairly neutral and does not help the reader better understand the questions or create familiarity with the visual formatting of the GRE test itself. In further iterations, I would suggest this be improved to help different types of learners be successful. This is a great resource for paper-based practice questions, but there are not many usable strategies published or reference guides made available like a memorization or formula chart. In summary, I think it is a good reference for practice questions but not a book that could allow a student to build new skills and strategies on their own, and for that reason I would not consider adding it to resources for students to prep for the GRE.

My recommendation is that if you want to take the test and clear it in one go with self study , then you should get the book. This book provides detailed explainations to all the level questions and with so many examples that will help to boost your self confidence which is very much important for any exam. You will only have 40 mins max to complete the entire Quantitative section , so you got to be fast enough to solve the mixture of different type of questions.

Beginning with overview of the GRE general test, it talks about outline of the paper, general strategies and tips for preparation.

Then the book acquaints the readers with quantitative reasoning section of the GRE test, dealing with types of questions like quantitative comparison questions, multiple choice questions, numeric entry questions etc.

Nextly, the book offers arithmetic practice questions which are segregated into 3 difficulty levels easy, medium and difficult.
Various subtopics like prime numbers, fractions, exponents and roots, progressions etc are covered by the chapter.
At the end of the chapter, detailed and thorough answers and explanations are provided for satisfactory improvement, practice and learning of the candidates.

The next chapters deal with Algebra, Geometry and Data Analysis practice questions respectively, involving sub topics like inequalities, quadratic equations, linear equations, algebraic expressions etc in Algebra, circles, lines and angles, quadrilaterals, triangles, coordinate geometry etc in Geometry and topics like graphical description and methods in Data Analysis.
Ten exercises are given at the end for effective and elaborate practice of students, each with answers and explanations.

The language of the book is simple and user friendly. However, I found some printing mistakes and errors.

Overall, a detailed and useful book, encompassing all the topics of GRE test, with different levels of questions for a hassle free and extensive preparation.
